Calibrator: Automatically generate test cases

Problem

We have a script to generate a reference solution for a solver test case. However, there is currently no way to automatically create an input file and reference solution for the calibrator.

Solution

It would be nice to have a similarly simple script to compute a reference solution for the calibrator.
