Is your feature request related to a problem? Please describe.
Currently, I have a multi-step showcase/tutorial flow that spans across multiple screens.
On Screen 1, there are 5 showcase steps with fixed navigation controls (Next, Previous, Exit).
The issue arises when navigating backward from Screen 2 to Screen 1. At the moment, the showcase always restarts from step 1. However, in this scenario, I need the showcase to resume from Step 5 directly, instead of restarting from the beginning.
Describe the solution you'd like
I would like the ability to:
Start the showcase flow from a specific step index (e.g., Step 4 or Step 5).
Programmatically control the initial step when re-entering a screen.
Maintain consistent navigation behavior (Next, Previous, Exit) across screens.
Ensure that previous steps (Steps 1–4) still remain accessible when navigating backward.
Example Use Case:
Screen 1 → contains 5 showcase steps.
Screen 2 → contains additional showcase steps.
When tapping Previous on Screen 2:
Navigate back to Screen 1.
The showcase should resume directly from Step 5, not Step 1.
Navigation between Screen 2 and Screen 3 is already handled via the Next button.
This enhancement would allow better control of multi-screen guided tutorials and improve user experience continuity.
Describe alternatives you've considered
Restarting the showcase from Step 1 (not ideal, as it disrupts flow).
Manually tracking state and rebuilding the showcase (complex and not scalable).
Creating separate showcase groups per screen (increases implementation complexity).
None of these approaches provide a clean or scalable solution.
Additional context
This feature would significantly improve support for multi-screen onboarding or guided walkthroughs where seamless forward/backward navigation between steps is required.
