Dear Team
My name is Osameh Zabihizadeh, an 18-year-old AI researcher and full‑stack developer . I have been working on a project.
Your work on PanDerm and the Derm1M dataset inspired me to build this platform. I fine‑tuned PanDerm (ViT‑L/16) on the DermNet dataset and achieved ~74% validation accuracy across 23 classes, with melanoma detection exceeding 98%. The results convinced me that PanDerm is the ideal foundation for a clinically impactful tool.
I am now preparing to scale the model to 390 skin conditions using the Derm1M dataset. However, I recognize that both PanDerm and Derm1M are released under non‑commercial licenses (CC BY‑NC‑ND 4.0 and CC BY‑NC 4.0 respectively). I am therefore writing to respectfully request a commercial license for either the model, the dataset, or both, so that I may deploy this service to support physicians—particularly in underserved areas.
Should a full commercial license not be possible, I would be grateful even for permission to use one of the two resources under a limited agreement. I am committed to respecting your intellectual property and am open to discussing licensing fees, revenue‑sharing, or other terms that would make this collaboration mutually beneficial.
Thank you for your groundbreaking research and for considering my request. I look forward to the possibility of bringing this technology to those who need it most.
Respectfully,
Osameh Zabihizadeh
