Use rule settings local to project/solution

Can we have the utility use the rule settings applied from within a .editorconfig file that is local to the solution or project? So that we can enable/disable rules per project instead of globally in Tools -> Options.

Or support merging a version of settings.json that is local to the project with the global version, having the local override the global.

We value your feedback and we think it would be a great addition to our product.
Although it is not in our current roadmap, we're keeping a record of your request to prioritize it and collect similar needs.
Meanwhile, I invite to take advantage of the free SonarQube Cloud account. This would allow you to disable rules in the cloud settings which would overwrite your projects ruleset.
