Feature Request

Problem Statement

Lack of standardized telemetry (traces, metrics, logs) makes it difficult to validate reliability and impact for grant reviewers.

Proposed Solution

Add an Observability & Telemetry module using OpenTelemetry for traces, Prometheus metrics, and structured logs. Provide sample dashboards and alerting rules.

Alternatives Considered

Ad-hoc instrumentation per-service leads to gaps and inconsistent signal quality.

Additional Context

Include a sample Grafana dashboard and an automated smoke test that validates exporters to help reviewers reproduce reliability metrics.

Implementation Ideas (Optional)

• Instrument core HTTP handlers and background workers
• Expose metrics for request latency, error rate, and quota usage
