Description

The current audit logging system stores events but lacks advanced search and export capabilities. Implement full-text search, filtering, and bulk export of audit logs for compliance reporting.

Definition of Done

• Full-text search across all audit log fields
• Advanced filtering by user, action, date range, and IP
• JSON/CSV export functionality for date ranges
• Log retention policy enforcement (auto-delete after 7 years)
• Encrypted at-rest storage for audit logs

Acceptance Criteria

• Search returns results in <2 seconds for 1M+ logs
• Export up to 100,000 records at a time
• All exports signed with system key for integrity verification
• Logs automatically archived to cold storage after 1 year
• Access to audit logs restricted to compliance officers only
• Pagination for log querying with 100 records per page
• Role-based access control enforced for all audit endpoints

I'd like to work on this. I have experience building compliance grade audit systems and I'm confident I can deliver this end to end.

I'll implement full-text search with advanced filtering, streaming JSON and CSV export with system key signing, a 7 year retention policy with cold storage archival after 1 year, encrypted at-rest storage, and role based access control restricted to compliance officers. Pagination at 100 records per page included.

I estimate I can have a PR ready within 6 hours of being assigned. Could you please assign this to me?
