Pinned Shortcuts

It appears any shortcuts that are created by the end user is automatically deleted, instead of updated.

Is it possible to update any user created shortcuts? instead of just deleting them.

@dalenoe where are these shortcuts created? There's some work inbuilt into Squirrel to update shortcuts that have been pinned to the taskbar, as well as in the Start Menu, but without knowing more about what the users are trying to do it's hard to say what's possible...
