PWA manifest - wrong HTML link tag?

My wiki's HTML has this: <link rel="manifest" href="https://www.example.com/api.php?action=webapp-manifest">

But example.com/api.php?action=webapp-manifest gives this error: Unrecognized value for parameter \"action\": webapp-manifest.

However, api.php?action=appmanifest DOES work, and includes some Citizen-specific stuff (e.g. "theme_color":"#0d0e12","background_color":"#0d0e12").

Do I need somehow to change the <link> tag? Should it be: <link rel="manifest" href="https://www.example.com/api.php?action=appmanifest">? If so, how?

I'm using MW1.43 and the latest Citizen code.
