Current Behavior

When opening Lightning Terminal on startOS, the Lightning Node Connect sessions list fails to load. The UI shows:
Unable to fetch sessions — lit is not ready for: /litrpc. Sessions/ListSessions
Creating a new LNC session also fails. Other node functions appear to work normally.

Expected Behavior

The LNC sessions list should load without errors, and new sessions should be created successfully.

Steps to Reproduce

1. Open Lightning Terminal from the startOS interface and see the error message..

2. Go to Lightning Node Connect

3. See the error message again.

4. Try creating a new session — it fails with the same error.

Anything else?

The same problem occurs for my friend on a different computer and in a different browser.

The issue seems to have started after updating LND to 0.19.2.

Happens consistently after restarts. Node channels and balances are visible and functional. Seems LiT is not ready for /litrpc despite LND being active.

This is a bug upstream, until it is fixed by LL the fix is: Navigate to LND > Actions > Recreate Macaroons.

You may also need to restart LiT afterwards. Let us know if that doesn't resolve the issue, otherwise I am closing this issue for now.

Unfortunately it didn’t work for me or for my friend. I tried several times with different approaches. No result.

I just went through this exact sequence on a LiT instance with the same exact error:

1. Run the Recreate Macaroons action in LND (LND > Actions > Recreate Macaroons)
2. Restart Lightning Terminal (make sure LND has fully restarted to allow time for the macaroons to be re-created).

Following these steps resolved the error.

If you are certain LND was given enough time to fully startup before restarting Lightning Terminal, please share the logs from Lightning Terminal. It also might be helpful to check the LND logs to make sure there aren't any errors there.
