The extension hasn't seen an update in 3 years

Investigate if the extensions are being installed properly as is, which ones are being used, if there are replacements for them. See if this extension can be removed or not.

Notes

The repo says it only works in Jupyter Notebooks, not in Jupyterlab

Due to major differences between the Jupyter Notebook and JupyterLab, the extensions in this repository will not work in JupyterLab. You will find a list of alternative extensions for JupyterLab on jupyterlab-contrib.

The following is the extensions found in the code

    jupyter nbextension enable codefolding/main --sys-prefix && \
    jupyter nbextension install --py sas_kernel.showSASLog && \
    jupyter nbextension enable sas_kernel.showSASLog --py && \
    jupyter nbextension install --py sas_kernel.theme && \
    jupyter nbextension enable sas_kernel.theme --py && \
    jupyter nbextension list

So we need to check if they are installed properly and if they are used.

Codefolding

It adds the arrows so that the code can be folded down.

This doesn't appear to be working in the python notebook

This seems to imply that they are not enabled properly/working

I removed the extension to test,
and I found that the extension is forcing us onto an older version of notebook

The jupyterlab version is unchanged between the two

There isn't any visible differences between the two sas kernels.
