Downloads are failing and the downloader is closing as soon as it starts, with error message.

See title. I need this to fix a game-breaking bug in Age of Mythology that the devs are too lazy to patch out or revert, and I have no idea what any of this means or how to fix it. I'm on Windows 10. The downloader isn't on my D: drive, which is not my main hard drive, so I have no idea why it's even looking for something there.
