The file BUILDING.md tells you what you need to build. Without any AI services. |

A little note to compiling Stellarium with Kubuntu 26.04. The upgrade from 25.10 to 26.04 online with do-release-upgrade command produces unfinished headers to Qt6. Then the cmake does not produce suitable makefiles to make. And make stops to errors. You can fix the problem with sudo apt install --reinstall qt6-base-dev qt6-base-private-dev libqt6gui6 Then the compiling is successful. |

Long time has gone and now I downloaded source codes from GitHub. Tried to compile that. There were errors with cmake. But Claude AI told how to fix and install missing packages. I mentioned to Claude Stellarium speech generator which appeared at logs.
Then Claude advised me to install Qt5 packages so that cmake would work. Finally, I installed the missing Qt6 packages with Claude's help. My machine uses Qt 6.9 libraries.
And lo and behold. In the new Stellarium settings window, there was a Speech item. And there was text. Stellarium could speak that text! Wow!
Are there other texts in Stellarium that it can speak?
