Possibility for "Edit pdf text" feature on self-hosted instances?

Hi, I was just wondering if the feature to edit text inside pdfs will ever be released to free licenses? I wish this was the case; was really disappointed to see it being locked behind a paywall ($99 a month! for server)

Right now it's in alpha and very much a feature we are testing and not really ready for full public

No news on any license change at the moment but never say never 😂

Thanks for the reply; I just recently found out 2.0 released after I tried to edit a simple pdf (on pdf.net) .. but they also require a monthly fee & are not open source as well..

Same. In the plan for Free it says "All basic features".
How is editing a text on a pdf not a basic feature?

I believe that for the self hosted version with 5 users everything should be free not locked behind any paywall as the plan mentions.

yea can a dev or someone explain? the old version let you edit everything just fine? now the new version you cant???
