tried recompiling the mod, and replacing the .so files, same error
edit:
after pasting mod files into where the actual executable was instead of /usr/share/dhewm3
now i get a different error

edit 2:
after editing librecoopd3xp.sh to

./dhewm3 +set fs_game_base d3xp +set fs_game librecoop

the game launches without any problems, when i try to create a server coop shows up, not all of the maps show up at first, but when i switch game mode to survival then back to coop, all maps show up
so its working correctly now

I have the same problem. Using the latest dhewm3 compiled from source. The +set fs_game_base workaround didn't work for me (and I just want the base game).

EDIT: Nevermind. My issue was that I was using symlinks for executables and dhewm3 was looking in the real location for the mod .so, and obviously failing to find the mod at all.
