This project has been discontinued in favour of Cassandra Lucene Index, which maintains exactly the same features being a plugin of Apache Cassandra instead of a fork.

Also, the Docker image you mention is for another different project, Stratio Decision. Which project are you asking about?

Also, asking why this is so slow without providing any information about the use case/benchmark, metrics, hardware nor methodology seems nothing easy to answer, don't you think so?
