Hi, im trying to build a subtitle addon
but it seems that i dont know the state of the timeline.
for example if the user jumps into minute 20, i dont know that.
as im trying to create efficient subtitle based on chunks - this is a major limitation.

any workaround?

For which subtitles languages is your addon?

@NatanCoralogix currently there's no way to achieve that.
subtitles should be a static file, i am not aware of any video player that support chunked subtitles.
they only make a single request and whatever the response is that's the subtitle file.

the motivation was an ai translations from english (that always exists) to other languages
