Modify game directory on Linux #2

Hello!
I'm a fan of this mod, and have previously run it via Bottles. Now that Linux should work natively (?), I thought I'd have a go at setting up a simple Nix build expression, ie. I am trying to build this. However, I cannot find a way to modify the data directory path. I assume I only need to supply Subnautica_Data. I guessed setting the GameDataFolder environment variable to the relevant path, but it did not work.
