[Feature request]: Extract selected pages via thumbnail picker (support non-contiguous pages) #1201
Description
Hi! I’d like to request a feature that makes it easier to create a new PDF from selected (non-contiguous) pages.
Current behavior
The Split tool seems to be range-based and does not allow a comma-separated list like 1,3,7 (non-contiguous pages). This makes “extract these pages only” inconvenient.
Requested feature
Add an Extract Pages tool (or enhance Split) with a thumbnail page picker:
- Show a grid/list of page thumbnails with page numbers
- Tap to select multiple pages (non-contiguous)
- Action button: Extract (N pages) → saves a new PDF containing only the selected pages (keep original order)
Optional improvement
Allow Split input like:
1,3,5-7 (comma-separated pages/ranges)
Why this is useful
This is a very common workflow (e.g., students sharing only a few pages). A thumbnail-based selection is much more user-friendly than typing ranges or splitting into single pages then re-merging.
