Document the processes (not only the code)

I like to consider that software is mostly about processes than code. What processes does Compass have? How were they conceived, before written into code? I think it would be nice if the documentation covered the processes (both the existing ones and the planned ones). That might help readers to understand what the application is all about, why code was written the way it is, and better reason about where the application is in the roadmap, and possible paths it could take in the future.
