OwnCloud: Web interface and NAS files are not in sync

I have been able to install, use and upgrade Owncloud on my Synology NAS for some time now, but I'm running into an issue:

The content is different on my NAS (File Station) and the Web interface.
I think I'm missing some scheduled task for syncing or cronjob or something.

Can you help me out ?

I am changing the files over a network connection to the NAS now, where in the past I synchronized from my laptop using de owncloud desktop client. Stopped using that to free up hard drive space.

When I run commands from the command line (SSH) I get an error about wrong version of PHP.
Additonal question: how do i get to the owncloud shell ?

Could you provide more details about your setup and the issue you’re facing? Specifically:

1. Your NAS model and DSM version
2. The version of ownCloud installed on your NAS
3. The system status details from Settings → General

Also, could you elaborate on how your file updates work over the network? Does it function similarly to this article on accessing ownCloud files via WebDAV?

Regarding running commands over SSH — are you referring to executing them on the server? If so, you may need to set up shortcuts to run them as the correct user. The ownCloud Database Migration wiki provides guidance in steps 2–3 to help simplify running occ commands.

The files are updated over a network share as in 'Accessing Files Using Microsoft Windows', but Maybe I should use 'Mapping Drives With Windows Explorer' (with WebDav to owncloud instance in stead of NAS).

I should mention my CRON is not running as desired. It is configured to run every 15 minutes based on Synology cron, but it does not.

For SSH, I thiknk the provided link might resolve that. I'm gonna try that later today.

Hello, when i try to add the same file again in Web Interface, I get a message saying the file already exist so asks me if I want to overwrite or rename. Whatever option I choose, the entire content of the folder gets properly updated. (for current folder - subfolder was niet updated).

I also managed to get cron running, but that doesn't seems to change anything to the file-behaviour (yet).

I am running into a new problem: when I try to share, I cannot select any of the existing groups (not found), also tried creating a new one but that cannot be found either :(

@shaesen did you try with another computer, another browser or a private browser window?
Sometimes you cannot see updated web data due to the browser cache (seen with other web apps, but might be the same with owncloud).

I'm using 2 computers: 1 running linux Ubuntu and google chrome, the other is running windows 11 and Edge.
Both computers have also been restarted in between.
