There are native builds ready to run for Linux and Windows that can be securely download here http://www.hammerdb.com/download.html. For both Windows and Linux files are available as a self-extracting installer and tar.gz for Linux and zip for Windows with the following checksums. All source code is included with the binary downloads. Source code is identical for Linux and Windows.
The source code on this site does not require compilation however does require a compiled TCL interpreter engine, database libraries and additional packages located in the local bin and lib directories. To build a bespoke environment the recommended approach is to download one of the provided binaries and build the same packages located in bin and lib.
