Using TagStudio on a central server #883

This is not something that is supported at the moment, although I am also interested in having this in the future. There is however a hacky way to get this to work although it is very error prone: Basically you store the entire directory that is your library on a server. The problems with are that if you have the library open on two devices at the same time it could get corrupted / you could loose some progress, and, I believe, some features don't behave quite right when access times to the files are high like they might be when storing the files on a server. Disclaimer: I have not tested this personally and your library might get corrupted irreversibly even if you do everything right, so do it at your own risk and, you know, make backups. |

One of the main features of Paperless that I use is that the server that hosts the files is browsable by any connected device using a Paperless app. I am still poking around on how to use this tool, and I don't see an explicit description of how the libraries function in the documentation. Is a similar setup possible with TagStudio? Something along the lines of TagStudio pointing to a directory on a server, and another computer downloads TagStudio, points to the same directory, and can access the same library.
