What vision does TagStudio have for directories?

Will this program make directories show up as separate entries so it'll be possible to tag them instead of their content? I know I can use zip files but I don't want to compress every directory.

edit: To avoid any misunderstanding, I'll provide an example. The path C:\directory contains files. I don't want the files but the directory to appear as an entry/item in TagStudio.
