Feature description
I was not able to find duplication but forgive me in case there is one.
I had posted #3382 which too is towards saving data.
Subscription list has many channels with profile images. These images are refreshed each time we scroll or navigate through them. If we could cache them on device then user data can be saved.
Caching these small profile images also can provide a more fulfilling experience when a user is offline and still can see channel profile photos under the subscription list.
Another step which I don't know if can work would be to refresh only those profile images which are changed by a channel.
Hope this little data saving thing comes to life soon!
Why do you want this feature?
To reduce data usage and towards a more complete experience.
Additional information
Although tiny amount of data gets out towards these images, but such step can help someone with limited amount of data in the long term.
