XIVHotbar2 and gearswap

After setting up a gearswap lua and running it I get a lua runtime error on line 583 of xivhotbar2.lua. This makes XIVHotbar unable to load weapon skills.

Hey I had a fix for this already just didn't push it to git yet. I just did that now. Go ahead and redownload the addon and let me know!

Thanks for the quick respond. I did a full clean reinstall of windower and all my addons/plugins and I seem to still get the error though on line 598 (new_skill_type = resources.items[windower.ffxi.get_items(bag, index).id].skill ) which seems to be the same thing. Even removing gearswap doesnt fix the error. Attept to index field '?' (a nil value)

That error on 598 in related to weapon switching but the addon should still work. If you're not going to use weapon switching you can disable it in the settings. If you are going to use weapon switching then this error will pop up when you log in some times, and you'll have to re-equip your weapon to get your weapon switching skills to show up.

The thing is that I don't get any of my weapon skills to show anymore even if I unload the addon or reload with //htb reload. Re-equipping my weapons do nothing anymore.

Okay so I found the issue. It seems my settings file would keep setting enableweaponswap to false even though I had checked it multiple times. Its working like it should now even with the error as you said. Thanks for the update and for maintaning this amazing addon, keep up the great work! :)

Oh okay! I suspect that in the settings file there is an enableweaponswap tag in two places. One in the global section and one in the character name section. I highly recommend just transferring ur settings to the global section and deleting your character specific settings.
