From the logs, you probably need to initialize the database with the correct environment variables defined. Check https://github.com/Tecnativa/doodba-copier-template/blob/stable/docs/daily-usage.md#production for details.

I have used the copier to create the environment, as explained in the documentation. The containers are created, even when I enter the bash of the db_1 container

I am experiencing an similar authentication failure.
I was able to create the prod database with one click odoo. So assume the password is correct.
db-acces.env and db-creation.env are set to the same value. (from copier answers)
Yet, booting up production throws this authentication failure.
