Condensing past time/more structure to default view

One of our original ideas was to condense past time so there is even more emphasis on what is coming up next.

I think you can do this one of two ways:

1. Programatically where, past time is condensed into a designated section of the screen, and the remaining hours take up the rest of the screen.

2. The user designates a "start time" of the day and the time before this start time is condensed. If the user has an early meeting, the start time would move back to this meeting time.

Aesthetically, this would be a big enhancement.
