Expected Behavior
The Diet UI should render as a standard GUI overlay without triggering additional shader calculations. FPS should remain stable or drop only negligibly (<5-10%).
Actual Behavior
FPS drops by ~50% upon opening the UI and stays permanently degraded until the client is restarted. The issue triggers after a single open/close cycle and is unaffected by world reloads, server reconnections, or shader resets.
Steps to Reproduce
- Launch
terrafirmagreg-modern v0.12.7 with any shader pack enabled.
- Open the Diet/Ration interface.
- Close the interface.
- Observe that FPS remains halved (~50% lower than baseline).
- Attempt to recover performance by rejoining the server or reloading shaders → FPS remains degraded.
- Fully restart the Minecraft client → FPS returns to normal.
