Cesium supports orthographic frustum (link to sandcastle); it would be great to support orthographic camera for Terria's 3D map, especially for architectural and BIM visualisation.
The camera should be configurable and could either be a Display Settings option or available via the on-screen camera controls.
some known issues that would arise (there might be others):
- clipping plane issues when orthographic frustum is enabled which would need investigation;
- camera view can go underground;
- pedestrian mode might need to revert camera back to perspective automatically;
- Measuring tool would need to be investigated as changing the frustum seems to cause some issues:
