How to edit the property by using command?

Hi Team,

Can anyone help me, how to change the property of a cell or macro.

Example: I want to change the macro {placement status} from locked to placed by using command. Is there any command to change like that?

There is no command for that specifically. You could use the odb APIs. What is the goal of that change?

Thanks for the response. I want to do macro placement manually. Thats the reason I'm looking for these switches. If we get the command, we can change the placement status from locked to placed, then we can do the manual floorplan however we want.

In OpenROAD, automatic macro placement is performed as part of the design flow. After the macro placement is completed, I intend to relocate the macros to specified positions. To achieve this, I am searching for the appropriate commands or options that facilitate manual macro adjustment.

In ORFS you can set MACRO_PLACEMENT_TCL to provide your own script to do placement and not use the automatic placer.
