"Can't get date" errors even though a "supplemental metadata" .json exists in the folder

If I have the JSONs, why am I get so many "Can't get date" errors? It's STILL giving me those as I type...

I followed the unpacking instructions, folders are merged.

Same issue here. I ended up having half of my media in the folder of "no date found". I saw there were some pull request that has this sorted but as a noob I have no idea how to use those versions. Would be great to have an update if this new Google Photos naming convension will be featured here anytime soon. Many thanks!
