Inquiry regarding Lidarbot/Potential collaboration

My name is Preye Allison. I am working on a related project to the lidarbot.
I am reaching out to inquire if any issues were faced when testing the motors using the motor_checks_client and motor_checks_server codes.
During my connection with jga25-370 motors with encoders and while testing, I got the following responses: “service not available” for the motor_checks_client and “Wiring I2C: Permission denied” for the motor_checks_server.

I would appreciate it if a piece of advice or a solution would be rendered/given.

Hi Preye,

I don't recall facing any permission related issues, and unfortunately, I am not with the robot to try recreating this. Since it's permission try running this:

sudo usermod -aG i2c $USER

Restart the device and let me know what happens.
