the youtube videos are too old, more than 10 years ago and are somewhat irrelevant regarding the jquery syntax, how can someone watch more than 5 videos that he can not understand the syntax or tries to understand it, modular syntax is hard to chew concept by itself let alone with old jquery programming, are there not any resource that is modern and more relevant?

I actually also question this assignment, they are rather antiquated and it seems are just re-covering otherwise already covered material.

@TheOdinProject/javascript what would we think about just removing it?

I really like this resource. Personally, I'm not bothered by the JQuery (even when I was going through TOP as a student way back when) because the videos aren't trying to teach JQuery, but modularisation and that part doesn't require you to be experienced with JQuery syntax (what is used is just different syntax for what people will already have been exposed to, and you can most definitely follow along with the explanations).

That being said, taking the entire lesson into account (inc. the other assignments), stuff is already covered well and the lesson is already pretty heavy, so on that basis (and not the JQuery stuff), I'd be for removing the assignment since I don't think a replacement is strictly necessary.
