Identify developer friendly secure element interfacing methods

To enable LoRaWAN product prototyping using pre-provisioned ATECC608a-TNGLORA, it is critical to have development-friendly interfacing methods.

The secure element (SE) comes in two HW packages:

1. 8-lead SOIC
2. 8-pad UDFN

In this issue, we discuss the possible MCU/SIP/SOC interfacing options that allow for easily developing a proof of concept with pre-provisioned SE.

The UDFN SE package is not developer-friendly but there are some readers that make it usable.

The SOIC option is also not developer-friendly as you can only mount it via soldering it on a pre-built PCB
