As an iPhone user, being forced to have Google Calendar as a middle man is frustrating and clunky

An option to use iCloud instead of Google Calendar

I does not have an ICloud account, but you can develop this feature.
I will be happy to merge it.

@Imnibis you can add your google calendars to your apple devices simply logging to your account in the calendar app (Accounts > Add account > Google) or by exporting your google calendar in ical format (settings and sharing in Google Calendar)
