Highlight the polygons for the selected layer

It would be great if the polygons of the selected layer were highlighted (perhaps by drawing the boundaries in a thicker style).

This would be especially useful for layers such as vias, which are mostly hidden.
Maybe one could then also restrict the selection to the active layer, so that it is possible to edit vias.
