game wont start

i am watching Elise and Sam play this mod pack. i have installed it but when i run the Elysium Remastered Mod Organizer shortcut i get the unblock popup (which i have not click) i quick popuop on screen thet fades to black to quick to see what it is. but nothing happens. skyrim is running if you check task manager but you cant alt tab into it

It takes quite a while to load. Even on my 9850x3d and 5090, load time from clicking start to getting in game is several minutes long. On slower PCs this could be 5-10 minutes. Outside of that, make sure to disable any overlays (Nvidia, Rivatuner, etc) as these often do not play nicely with ENB and all the included mods.

Also make sure to try running the game without any of the included upscalers under section 45 -- these are fairly old and out of date anyways. If you do want to use DLSS upscaling, which is a must TBH, I'd recommend getting PureDark's latest Skyrim DLSS upscaler. Sits behind a patreon paywall but highly worth it. Test the game without any upscalers first though.

Lastly, make sure you have an unmolested vanilla skyrim install setup on your PC which the guide clearly calls out as a prerequisite. The vanilla skyrim needs to be ran at least once, and all of the AE content needs to be downloaded from the title menu. If you didn't do that, that's another reason why it's getting black screened. As a last ditch effort, would suggest tearing the whole mod pack down and reinstalling from scratch if needed, resetting your skyrim to vanilla from Steam etc as a first step.
