It's of course all about the satire and jokes, but its harder to introduce people to it, if they are already stumbling on the name, and you have to spend time to explain it is really a programming language, and why it is called 'Gulf of Mexico'.
Perhaps we should be calling it GUM code or something?

yes, we get the joke. And kinda funny, but also just a confusing name for a programming language. Multiple words just make a name.. wordy. I'm not against the satire of this change, but as a name it is just suboptimal if you want the programming language to be satire about more than just the Gulf of America situation. |

The perfect programming language DreamBerd has been renamed to Gulf of Mexico by direct executive order of President Trump.
Some of you may criticise us for obeying the whims of a fascist dictator. But in our defence, we also follow the orders of every other oppressive regime on the planet.
We also banned the
