Debug Mode to trace Logout and sync issues

My flatmates often complain that

1. they constantly get logged out (iOS) and
2. items in grocery list are not synced correctly to other devices so we often buy things twice.

Since they are not highly technically skilled I cant really trace down possible issues. Does someone else experience similar issues (we are using the app from app store, not selfhosted. Is there some sort of a debug mode for a household to find out what happens?
