Description
When polling, the tools also listen on an port and can serve a /metrics endpoint that includes metrics about itself and its ongoing operations. Is useful for development and inspection.
It may be interesting to provide a --self option to also collect monitoring data from itself and store it along with the data collected from the monitoring target. In order to do this it should use instance and job labels that do not conflict with the labels used to identify the monitoring target. (If any.)
