Ability to edit url directy in the main popup like it used to be.

The extra pop is often on the upper side and requires another tap to pull the keyboard up when editing a url. It also doesnt let one see in real time which apps can open the edited link. To do that one has to save the edited link first. I think being able to type directly on the main popup of urlcheck was superior.

I just wanted to be able to type/edit a url directly in the main popup instead of the other popup that appears on top of it, like we used to do initially. Please let me know if there is already an option for that as I couldnt find one.

I also liked the ability to edit directly, and I tried to keep the functionality, but with the modular approach, and the automations, there were several issues if everything was instantly updated while editing.
Originally I had special (and a bit hacky) code to disable updates while you were editing. With automations that was no longer possible (at least not without several more hacks) so instead I moved it to a popup.

Is the ability to "see" the available apps important to you? Can I ask why? Usually the available apps don't change much at all unless you are directly editing the host or the full url.

As for the extra tap, it should not happen. When you click the url, the popup should open automatically (in the middle of the screen) with the cursor exactly where you clicked and the keyboard should appear. It is slightly slower than a direct edit because of the time the popup takes to open (should be quick, plus you can reduce this time from android settings) but should not require any extra interaction. Does this not happen?

Ah I see, that's understandable. Can we place the popup a bit lower to make it easier to drag the cursor?

No it's not that important, just that I had some urls which I needed to delete some parts from to make them open in telegram app, but I was not sure upto which point I should keep removing the text. So at that time I felt itd be easier if i could see the app icon in real time. But that was only for first one or two links and then I figured the pattern.

edit: I just figured we can also tap on the enter key on keyboard instead of ok. TIL!
