Tribler Network Torrents

If I wanted to create or share a torrent, only within the Tribler network (with fellow Triblers), is this possible and how could you go about it?

Was this a feature of previous Tribler releases (Tribler 7 and earlier) that has been removed?

That is already the default behavior for Tribler seeding in anonymous mode. You don't have to do anything to achieve what you described.

@qstokkink I mean internally without using exit nodes to clear net. If I create a torrent and do not include any trackers Tribler still contacts the default DHT bootstrap nodes?

@teddyrogers There's a DHT node running for every hop count, so you'll participate in the DHT no matter what. The only difference for hop >0 downloads is that your IP is anonymized.

You're right, I was assuming that anonymity was enabled. If it isn't anyone with a magnet link (or infohash) can download.

Could you describe the steps required to create a torrent so that it can only be made available to Triblers on the overlay network, and inaccessible from clearnet?

Yes, but as mentioned in #8504 (comment), there is potentially a problem with the IP filter.

Seed some files and set the hop count to >0.
