Insert internal links to notes in the canvas and mind map

I would like to insert internal links in the canvas or mindmap leading to other trilium notes without reloading the web interface. Is it possible to do this and how do I do it?

Yes, you can insert internal links to other notes in Trilium's canvas and mind map, and clicking these links will navigate to the target note without reloading the web interface—navigation is handled client-side for a smooth experience.

To do this in a canvas note, you can drag a note from the tree into the canvas, which creates a text element with a clickable link to that note. Alternatively, you can manually copy the note path (in the format #root/NOTE_ID) and insert it as a link in a canvas object. Both methods allow you to jump to the linked note directly from the canvas, and previews are shown when hovering over the link. There isn't a dedicated UI for embedding notes directly, but these workarounds are supported and widely used by the community. After several tests. Drag and drop is not supported. Only manually copying a note's URL from the canvas or Mind Map can work.

Could a more convenient system for integrating URLs to notes be added to the canvas and Mind Map in the future?
