After a protected note automatically re-enters protection mode, its status does not refresh automatically.

Description

My note will re-enter the protected state after one hour, but unless I refresh the interface or click the note to trigger an error, its protected status will not be refreshed.

This is a known limitation in TriliumNext. When a protected note automatically re-enters protection mode after a timeout, the backend locks the note, but the frontend isn't notified, so the UI doesn't update until you refresh or interact with the note. There are no configuration options or documented workarounds to force an automatic UI refresh—manual refresh is currently the only way to see the updated status. This gap is due to the lack of a mechanism (like polling or real-time events) to keep the frontend in sync with backend protection state changes. Related session and UI sync issues have been discussed, but no direct fix or enhancement has been implemented yet see discussion.

I do have the same issue on Linux Mint. If i do not close the the program it protects the document to be edited but I can see everything, scroll and read. Before last update it automatically closed the note demanding entering of password.

Same here, and this is new to 0.99.5 😢 (.deb installed on unstable)
