For our flatpak, making it work is always possible with flatpak override but I don't think we will ship the non-flatpak overrides as other apps that use RPC don't (eg. Steam, Prism Launcher)
On snap we get our own tempdir. In theory we could try traversing out with .. to the normal tempdir but if AppArmor is even remotely effective that won't do anything for us.
