Time Zone Support

Me again! Just creating this to ask for advice on what to do with different time zones in this project. I am currently setting the timestamp with time.time() for each entry, although this seems to be interpreted by the dashbboard without adding on the extra hour for BST. Is it worth trying to persue this or would it be best just to leave the time in UTC?

Hello, sorry for the late reply.
The way the dashboard produces the time as it is shown on the graph isn't logged itself. The time is passed information from the database, TIMESTAMP and therefore recorded on the weather station. This can be fixed by selecting a time zone, however, keep in mind that the data imported to the dashboard via the database as an epoch time.

Hi, thanks for your help. On second thoughts, I think I will just leave the timezone as-is to avoid confusion. Here is the link to my (mostly) finished dashboard: http://dronesite.hopto.org:8080/dashboard/ - I have added a "live" part to the website becuase I also like to see the weather conditions in real time. There are also some other small problems I have with the dashboard:

1. For some reason, the user has to click the temperature or humidity button twice in order to see the graph instead of seeing it immediately when the site has loaded. This problem only appeared when I started accessing the site by my subdomain instead of by its .local hostname
2. When zoomed out, the graphs try to join the two end points of the data together with a straight line

Would you mind checking these out? (sorry in advance if the site randomly gives out - the wifi signal to the weather station is weak and I'm looking to buy some powerline ethernet adapters to resolve this). Thanks for your time.

Just commenting again in case you didn't see my last comment. In addition to the other issues, the graph is also working in a way that makes it focus on the time it was started, rather than the latest data. In order to see the latest data, the graph needs to be set to a higher timescale - is there any way to change this?
Edit: Reading this again, I don't think I explained this problem very well, although I'm sure you'll see what I mean when you look at the graph

Hi, thanks for your help. The issue seems to be related with how the data is plotted/rendered on the graph as it only appears fully when the graph is zoomed out. Also, once the graph is zoomed out, the graph lines have quite ununsual behaviour. Here is an example. I have tried viewing the dashboard in chrome and also safari - both displayed the same graph. I tried looking this section of the weatherGraph.py file but couldn't really figure out how to fix the issue:
