Unable to build phenotype cohort

Need to improve error handling for the Phenotype Cohort.

Steps to reproduce the behavior:

1. Go to dashboard/cohort
2. Add a term (one that will not return results from HPO)
3. En error message is displayed (see below) but it indicates a server/client problem, not a user-entered data problem
