Keyboard Scrolling is not working in the API Reference of the demokit

What is the issue and how can we reproduce it?

Dear SAP Team, thank you for the awesome work on UI5. I would like to ask for a minor improvement of the demokit.

1. Open the sample: https://ui5.sap.com/#/api/sap.ui.base.DataType%23methods
2. Try to scroll with pressing the spacebar
3. Scrolling is not working

Error:

While I understand that this is a absolute edge case, it would be nice to use the space bar to scroll down the page. (As like basically every other website also supports it).

Expected behavior:

On pressing space bar: the page is scrolled down, (It works in the documentation tab)

Which OpenUI5 version is your project targeting?

Unrelated / 1.140

Is the issue device- or browser-specific?

Tested with Chrome on MacOS.

Hi @moreRGB, thanks for the feedback!

The control used here is sap.uxap.ObjectPageLayout. At the moment it doesn’t support scrolling with the spacebar. Focus moves to the object page sections, which blocks the browser’s default behavior.

We’re aware of this limitation and are working on a fix by making the sections non-focusable.
