• Members are asked to consider for chair / co-chair
• Timeline:
  • Jan-Feb, 2023: Feedback collection on the current models
  • Feb 2023 – Feb 2024: first round of revision and make first revised draft
  • Feb – May, 2024: Feedback collection on the draft models and the second round of revision
  • June 2024: Finalisation of the new models
• Revision principles
  • Revision process: to be as transparent as possible and actively solicit feedback throughout entire process (from ModernStats Models Governance Guidance)
  • Revision decision: changes to be made only with strong business case and widespread support
• Github
  • This repo will be completely public (country feedback on GSBPM / GAMSO will be saved in the internal Share Point document)
  • To put information on wiki about the task team
  • Don’t need to have Github account, if you want, send me feedback, will post on issue
• Meeting frequency: every 3 weeks on Tuesday (time to be decided via poll)

3. How to work on GSBPM and GAMSO together?: to keep the coherence, it is better not to separate the team into GSBPM and GAMSO, at least in the beginning. Need to first have a common understanding of how two models relate each other. Once we need to go into details, we can separate the team (or do parallel).

4. GSBPM and GAMSO revision issues

• Clarification of GSBPM overarching process – this is very complicated issue, to be worked on later, we first need to familiarise ourselves with both models by going through issues
• Removal of numbering in GSBPM phase / sub-process (to avoid the misconception that it is linear)
• Clarification and alignment of terminology (meaning of “activity” in GAMSO)
• Challenges around different adaptions (for individual team’s need) in the same organisation
• Making GSBPM less-survey centric
• Move the focus away from mode of collection / type of data
• Elaboration / clarification of less-developed areas in the model (e.g., Phase 3 in GSBPM, Capability activity area in GAMSO)
• Explore why people don’t use when not pushed to do
• Aligning the level of details in two models
