Password pop up when running menu.py

When run on a macos 15 it gave me:

and then if I just hit enter a few times without typing anything, it eventually showed the menu:

Is there a way to explain to the user why it's asking for their password, or turn this off so the menu immediately shows?

Sorry for the delay. Yes, this was designed to run on a Linux server. The sudo password is needed for the server install scripts which install packages and modify some group/file permissions to, it uses apt package manager but could probably make a few tweaks to make it work with brew as well.

However, the relay itself is 100% containerized and can run on both x86 and arm64 CPU. So you should still be able to run on mac by just using a docker compose command to bring up the desired compose stack. You would run into some file permission errors with the docker volume, but can use the setfacl commands here to grant your user access.
